PST file size differences
1. The PSTs created using Outlook ------Import/Export is in Unicode Format. And the PSTs that are created using Exmerge are in ANSI format. The format type is one of the main reasons of difference in the size.
2. The Exmerge operation would not extract metadata of the mailbox.
3. The Exmerge compression of the mailbox is different from the normal Outlook export/import operations.
NOTE: If you move mailboxes or export the content using Exmerge, the process causes the loss of Single-instance-storage.
