Microsoft released Exchange Server 2007 with a whole new architecture and several changes in server roles, transport, security models, cryptographic stuff, and much more. What you can do with the new EMC of Exchange Server 2010?
There is a lot you can do with the new EMC of Exchange Server 2010 compared to its legacy version of Exchange Server 2007. Below are some new offerings in the EMC:
- Exchange Organization Health Reports - Exchange does not collect the health data and stastical information across the organization automatically. But, now you can configure your EMC to report the complete statstics of your servers and objects in your Exchange organization. Though these reports give very basic information like number of stores, number of servers, number of recipients, etc and their status. It is always useful to figure out a point of failure at a very first glance and you dont need to dig down further to find out where the things are broken. This option is easily locatable under the Exchange On Premises node. As the name itself suggests this node contains options that lets you choose the statstical settings and report configurations for your whole organization.
